Bump City Wine Co.
Our Story
"It was always about making good wine and sharing it with friends."
— Roger Smith
What began as a casual endeavor making wine for family and friends has grown into Bump City Wine Co., a Sonoma-based celebration of music, wine and the melody that happens when passions blend together.
Since 2008, Roger, keyboardist for Tower of Power and his longtime friend and business partner, Mike Smolich have been crafting wine under the Four Couples, Eight Friends and Jazz Rosco labels. From there the duo’s enthusiasm for making and sharing wine turned into something more and Bump City Wine Co was born. “We launched in 2014 with the creation of our flagship, Bordeaux-style wine, 2012 Bump City Red,” said Smith.
Bump City Wines are the result of the world renown Carneros growing region of Sonoma, the collaboration of a gifted wine maker along with the creative oversight of Roger and Mike.
